“Life doesn’t begin when you’re thinner, younger, richer, or braver. Life begins the moment you decide to start.”

Madame X

I spent far too many years hearing women say the same things:

“I’ll do it when I lose twenty pounds.”

“I’m too old.”

“I’m not confident enough.”

“Maybe next year.”

One day I realized I had heard those words long enough.

Madame X was born from one simple belief:

Life doesn’t begin when you’re thinner, younger, richer, or braver. Life begins the moment you decide to start.

Today, at 60 years old, after more than three decades as a gym owner and a lifetime spent encouraging women to believe in themselves, I knew it was time to create something bigger than a dance group. I wanted to build a movement.

Madame X is a sisterhood of women who are done waiting for permission. Women who have decided that this chapter of life isn’t about fading into the background—it’s about stepping into the spotlight.

We dance because movement changes us. We laugh because joy is contagious. We challenge ourselves because growth lives just outside our comfort zones. Every rehearsal reminds us that:

Confidence isn’t something you find before you begin—it’s something you build by showing up, one step at a time.

The name “Madame X” represents every woman who has ever hidden part of herself. Every dream she put on hold. Every version of herself she thought she had lost. When she joins Madame X, she writes a new story—one where she is fearless, unapologetic, vibrant, powerful, and fully alive.

My mission has never been to teach women how to dance. My mission is to help them remember who they were before fear convinced them to play small.

If one woman leaves a class believing she is stronger, more beautiful, more capable, or more courageous than she believed an hour earlier, then we’ve succeeded.

Madame X is about more than dance. It’s about reclaiming your life.

Because after all… It’s About Damn Time.
